Kalle rescued a cat from a tree. By way of thanks the critter hurt his head. So Kalle starts doubting that cats really are a man’s best friend.
His colleague Mo thinks dogs make better friends anyway, and doesn’t really buy Kalle’s story. Which is really not surprising…
But take a look for yourself and see what happened…
Nearly all workplaces hold some risk for harm, and a serious work accident could also bring the fateful risk of disability. To ensure a safe working environment, potential hazards have to be spotted early and eliminated quickly. For this, we all bear responsibility.
Workplace accidents can happen anywhere – on the shop floor and even in the office. Here at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, we take prevention seriously and work ceaselessly to make our workplaces even safer.
We conduct hazard analyses to mitigate risk with targeted preventive measures. We also pass the word, offering regular training courses and safety briefings for all staff. Our managers and the HSE Team involve the workforce actively in planning safety measures and promoting awareness.
A workplace that meets safety requirements is a good start. That might not always be enough to actually prevent an accident, though. So please: Check your workplace and your surroundings before you get started – even when you’re pressed for time and know it like the back of your hand. And if you notice any hazards you can’t eliminate yourself, reach out to your manager or notify the HSE Team.
Let’s all pitch in to help make Rolls-Royce Power Systems an even safer place to work.
Take care, be safe.
