The whole plant just nearly burned down! Thank goodness Kalle’s quick thinking prevented the worst. Indeed he just about saved everyone – and everything. At least that’s his story, as told to his good-natured co-worker Mo in the Power Systems Break Room. But maybe the line between fact and fiction is just a little blurred?
Fires can break out anytime, anywhere – and Rolls-Royce Power Systems is no exception. So please: Help minimize the risk of fire on our premises.
Fires can quickly become very dangerous once they ignite. The risk of a small, smoldering fire developing toxic fumes and spreading in the blink of an eye is extremely high.
Fires not only leave a trail of destruction, but all too often lead to severe injury. The consequences in terms of personal health and impact on the company are all too often underestimated.
Some of the most common causes of fire are: Defective appliances and equipment, open flames, working with inflammable materials, negligence and even arson.
We can all help improve fire safety in our company by focusing on fire prevention, identifying and assessing hazards and fire risks, and taking the right precautions.
Join in and let’s keep everybody safe and sound.
Take a tip from Mo:
∙ Please don’t smoke outside the
designated areas.
∙ Don’t just toss your cigarette butt away;
put it out properly and place it in one
of receptacles provided.
∙ Only use approved and tested electrical
appliances, and switch them off after use.
∙ Incidentally, don’t forget to switch off
electrical appliances before pulling
the power plug!
